Yesterday’s Rafah attack when Nicki Haley had planned to travel to Israel placed her in a difficult position. Netanyahu ridiculed ICJ’s decision yesterday and if Haley doesn’t distance herself from that, she will be part of Netanyahu’s plan. He ridiculed ICJ’s decision and the next day US’s former UN ambassador visited Israel.
This is a chess, and her next move is critical. If she doesn’t do anything it means she can be treated as a pawn in other people’s plans. Not a sign of strength. If she does something, this will be the first time she opposes Israel’s offensive.
UPDATE 1:
Ridiculing the rule of the international court places the entire free world in a difficult position. Objecting to the decision of the court and trying to overturn that based on legal processes is something, rediculing the rule of law is something else.
