It was already clear but Nikki Haley clarified the intention of flattening Gaza. Phase one is to make Gaza unlivable and phase two is to push Palestinians out of Gaza. Hamas is simply a distraction for this plan. This plan however has a big flaw. It requires the collaboration of opponents. It requires that Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and Iran let Palestinians into their countries and offer Gaza to Israeli settlers. This is as if in an election the strategists for the ruling party came up with a brilliant plan: If the opposition endorses us, we will win, no doubt.
The issue is that the opposition might be reluctant to do so. The plan for Palestine is to make it an international hub (something like Dubai) with a new type of economic structure based on private international investment. Citizens of Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and other countries will earn a profit (real money) by trying to establish Palestine as an international hub, so why should these countries spend money (and let Palestinians enter their countries) to offer such a gift to Netanyahu? It’s far more beneficial for them to build refugee camps inside Gaza while Gaza is reconstructed.
