Iran’s 1979 revolution was among the worst incidents that happened in Iran’s history and the UK and the US are also to blame because, as acknowledged by David Owen (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/aug/15/uk-should-finally-acknowledge-role-in-1953-iran-coup-says-david-owen), the democratic processes in Iran ended in 1953 coup, and that changed the course of history for Iran. Iran is not the only country with this experience. Progress in many countries stalled due to the benefit of other countries. It is necessary that the UK acknowledges that. Only then countries of the world will trust in a process that will also be beneficial for them. The world will never join a process if only one country is the main beneficiary.
