Hamas offered to free hostages and stop attacks. This surely added to Netanyahu’s camp nightmare and strengthened the global call for a ceasefire. The report on Israel’s government’s slow progress also presses on Netanyahu.
This is the best opportunity for the UN to step in and present to the Israeli public a plan to redirect young Palestinians from pursuing military combat toward economic activities. The economic activities should involve blocking military solutions meaning that Palestinians themselves will block Hamas’s military operations in return for economic opportunities provided by the UN and the global community.
Netanyahu’s achievement compared to the amount of destruction and killings in Gaza is negligible. Israel has already lost the support of the global north and south. This is the best opportunity for the UN to play its cart. I’ll contact a former official today and discuss it with his staff.
UPDATE 1:
I’ve always said that as someone who wants to join the Green Party later, I’m neutral about other parties. To make things balanced I’ll contact the conservative party and discuss an idea about a global immigration mechanism.
UPDATE 2:
This attempt for Gaza does not overlap with other plans (for example presented by the US or EU). This plan involves working with the public in Israel. So it adds something to currently active plans and does not oppose them.
UPDATE 3:
I got a 403 error and couldn’t load the website. So I had to send the message via Instagram.
